DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
JAG is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of our new Kotara store. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will play a key role in helping to deliver outstanding customer experiences, meet sales targets, and maintain the high standards of the JAG brand.
You will support the Store Manager by overseeing day-to-day operations, coaching and motivating the team, and ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication skills and a passion for retail excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Help foster a customer-first culture by supporting excellent brand presentation and customer service.
- Address customer issues promptly and effectively, escalating when needed.
- Assist in delivering engaging brand stories and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
2. SALES AND PROFITABILITY
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Assist in monitoring sales performance and contribute ideas to improve store results.
- Help optimise labour scheduling to align with sales and budget goals.
3. TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Assist in leading, coaching, and motivating the store team to deliver high performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.
- Maintain open communication with the Store Manager and contribute to a positive store culture.
- Help conduct regular performance feedback and support development opportunities.
4. OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations including stock management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
- Ensure all workplace health and safety standards are upheld.
- Support the completion of retail compliance audits and store administration tasks.
- Stay informed on company policies and procedures and help ensure the team adheres to them.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Contribute to achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Help maintain high standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Support a motivated, well-trained, and engaged team.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with WH&S requirements and completion of training.

EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years in retail leadership, preferably in an assistant or supervisory role.

- Familiarity with retail operations and visual merchandising.
